The Central MS Turtle Rescue is a rescue and rehabilitaton facility for turtles and tortoises located in Mississippi. CMTR rescues and rehabilitates turtles and tortoises that are injured, sick, abandoned, abused, or neglected with the goal of releasing all native, wild turtles and tortoises back to the wild. Turtles and tortoises that cannot be released are found permanent placement. CMTR also serves as a resource to pet owners, environmental causes, and conservation efforts and provides education to students, veterinary professionals, and the general public.
